The Koshawell Story
Mary Rodgers has taught yoga for 12 years and has been a licensed Massage Therapist for eight. Mary began practicing yoga in 2009 and meditation in 2011. She completed her yoga teacher training with Kripalu Yoga Instructor, Acharya PremShakti in West Palm Beach, FL, and shortly after began to practice Transcendental Meditation. She continued to add to her yoga teaching with the study of Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Yin yoga practices, and she expanded her meditation practice with Zen and Theravada Buddhist mindfulness practices.
Today, Mary owns and operates The Koshawell , where she offers bodywork, yoga and meditation classes. This year, Mary began leading small-group meditations at the Labour Temple, a local co-working space in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle, WA. She leads guided meditations that focus on breathing practices, body scan techniques, visualization, and mindfulness practices.
Mary believes it is important to incorporate mindfulness into everyday life, from our morning routines to our work meetings, and from our interactions with co-workers to our interactions with friends and families. Through The Koshawell, Mary hopes to encourage her clients and students to allow space to integrate the many layers of themselves and support their overall wellbeing with tools from the traditions of yoga, bodywork and meditation.
